The key to flooring is the conversion between pyeong (3.3㎡] and box units.

Since Maru is shipped only in box units, the calculated number of pieces is divided by the quantity per box, and decimal points are always rounded up.

2. Flooring material width, length

Enter the size of the single floorboard you wish to install. Standard engineered wood flooring is typically 95mm x 800mm, while wide plank flooring uses dimensions of 115mm or larger.

3. Quantity per box and markup rate

Enter the number of sheets per box and the loss rate. A markup rate of approximately 3–5% is recommended for standard installation, while it should be set higher at around 10–15% for herringbone installation.

  • A. Returns are generally possible for unopened boxes, but individual sheets of material cannot be returned, so it is recommended to keep them for future repairs.
  • Q. Is the quantity calculation method the same even when doing overlay work?
  • A. Yes, the method for calculating the area is the same. However, if you add it on top of the existing floor, the floor will become higher, so the door may not close; therefore, it may be necessary to trim the bottom of the door.
